Modern, classy, fun, beyond perfect: the only words that I would use to describe how incredible Allison and Peter’s wedding was. These two are so incredibly in love and you could feel, they just seem like they’ve never not been together. The natural chemistry, the intimacy. These are my favorite types of couples to do photography for because there’s no posing, just true love and intimacy that speaks for itself when you’re around them and when you’re photographing them.
Allison wanted a day that was structured so that once it arrived it could just flow naturally and it did. When I arrived everything was so relaxed and just really laid back. We walked around Detroit for pictures and we even finished early, so they were able to have some snacks and downtime before the ceremony. This was one of those rare and special weddings where everyone was close friends and it just really made for a great day. Before the ceremony, Allison wanted a first look with her dad and it was beautiful and emotional. My favorite part was catching Peter’s reactions to Allison’s first look with her dad, it was the sweetest moment. I think everyone should have a first look with a loved one because, wow…it’s just so special.
Allison’s dress was a modern yet classic gown with an open back framed in lace. The very soft beige bridesmaid dresses and white floral bouquets were timeless. Their venue was really beautiful, from the outside ceremony with a brick wall and wildflower backdrop, to the indoor reception with incredible food. The tables were covered with white linens and accents of greenery with twinkling candles, their wedding was a whole mood honestly.
Allison & Peter, I wish you guys love, happiness and great food for the rest of your days.
