Children, Fun and Intimacy; these are the things that mattered most to Amy and wow, did they pay off. I mean nieces and nephews as the bridal party? Why aren’t more people doing this?
Amy and Anthony are a low key, laid back couple that wanted a small wedding with their closest family and friends there to celebrate with them. When Amy reached out to me, we instantly clicked! This boss babe planned an incredibly intimate wedding, in two months! Yes, you read that right.
While this is where their love story lead them, it’s not where it began. This Montreal girl and Michigan guy met 10 years ago while working at summer camp, how fun is that? So they tackled the task that is a long-distance relationship and while after a year of being broke college kids got the best of them, they chose to be friends. Wait, what?
Thankfully, that’s not where their story ends though. Four years later they reconnected because of a canceled flight. I mean seriously, that just goes to show that what’s meant to be will always find a way. They embarked on that Long Distance Love one more time and proved that real love, knows no distance.
Their day from start to finish was intimate and real. While getting ready in Anthony’s parent’s cozy home, Amy seeing herself in the mirror was such a beautifully pure moment. The intimate ceremony in a church that reflected the same one Amy’s parents married in, magical. The day ended with a reception in a backyard, eucalyptus haven.
This was one of my favorite weddings to date, proof that backyard weddings have my heart, forever and always.
Here is to you Amy & Anthony, may the future bring you more magical moments.
