Daunting is an understated way to describe how it feels to enter the wedding industry. As a creative, you're equally inspired and terrified of the business and by those who seem to be doing successfully. For me, our community of creatives in Detroit is one of the most supportive, friend-like groups that I felt more than capable of doing my thing without interrupting others. That's where Alora Rachelle comes in.
When I say, "This is my girl!" I mean MY GIRL, okayyy? Having known her since 2015 is a blessing in and of itself. A lot of times you will find people who are simply playing "the game" but she's as genuine as they come. She has been such a breath of (earthy-toned) fresh air. During our official mentorship meeting, I wasn't expecting to get so much quality information. I was writing notes as if I were in a college lecture.
Not because I had to, but because what she was saying made valuable sense and I didn't want to forget it. She discussed personality types in yourself and in your friends and the importance of surrounding yourself with people who will offer you genuine guidance. She gave me websites that will improve my efficiency as I create contracts and send invoices. She made me confident that I was on the right track but also comfortable with being myself.
A lot of my reactions to her suggestions were like, "What?! No way!" or "Stop, you're kidding!" because she gives you the low down on the most complex issues in the simplest of ways. Needless to say, I am now well aware that I can keep my head above water because Alora figured out a way. If you're looking for guidance in a strong-minded, motivated individual, I would absolutely recommend Alora. She isn't going to sugar you up, she will tell you straight #facts drizzled in honey. That's the kind of person I want in my corner, and it should be the kind of person everyone has in theirs.
One of the many things I really appreciate about her is that you can tell she's deeply invested in your success. She's not one of those coaches that gives you a little here and a little there so that you keep going to come back she gives you everything that she has so that you can succeed. Not to mention she keeps it real which is definitely something we need when it comes to our business. She helps you create an action plan that you can Implement that day so that you can start making improvements and making goals. She's definitely a person you would want to be around and call your best friend . What are you waiting for?
First things first, if there’s anyone even minutely thinking about booking Mentorship Sesh w/ Alora...JUST DO IT! Like seriously, she went above & beyond in helping answer any & every question I had! You see, I’m transitioning my photography from what was a fundraiser & now into a legit business. So it really benefited me to not only get her guidance because she’s an awesome girl-boss in this industry, but truly - she’s like THE realest person so I know her feedback would be completely from the heart & personal experience. So y’all, highly recommend her as a sensei for any of your mentorship needs!!!
Guys, I’ve done tons of mentoring with other photographers but never really felt as inspired as I did with Alora! She really was a breath of fresh air. I struggled so much with finding my niche, style, personality on social media. And she got me there so easily. SO EASILY. I had that lightbulb turn on moment with her. Like that’s what you want to be getting when you invest time into someone else. I 100000000/10 recommend her to any and everyone!!! Love this woman and what she’s about.... what are you waiting for?!
My photography mentoring session with Alora was absolutely INCREDIBLE! I learned some specific tools that have literally changed the game in my photography!!! Alora was sweet, funny, and most of all super informative! Alora was honest and did not mind sharing her tips and tricks! She made my mentoring session an experience I will NEVER forget! It was worth every penny and I am already looking forward to the next one!!!
